Travels With My Grandsons

It's countdown to London with grandsons Oliver (9) and Alex (8). Off on Virgin Atlantic next Friday evening, July 10, arriving at flat in West Kensington bright and early on Saturday. What to pack? What's the weather going to be? Long range forecast on web looks dire, so won't bother looking again. Rain slicker, sneakers, umbrella and sun block will take care of all eventualities. Have plans from day one but will take our lead from the boys. Alex was worried he might get bored and do they have Macncheese and TV and speak English? His favorite event will be to visit the sweet shop for a Cadbury's Flake and a day with his cousins in Bushey and Legoland. Oliver doesn't fancy visiting Buckingham Palace so will give it a miss. Hope to take The Eye if visibility and weather permits on Saturday. If not, the Duck Tour. I'll let you know. TV and early night to be followed by Sunday at cousins in Bushey. They nixed the bbq in favor of everybody's favorite -- not MacNCheese exactly, but assorted pastas, so everyone gets what they like. (Yum - my favorite.)
